An international conference on

"Inequalities, Skills and Globalization"

is organised in Lille on the 21st and 22nd of June 2012


The conference is organised within the framework of the programme MONDES (Globalization, restructuring and social and professional downgrading: http://inequality-globalisation.univ-lille1.fr/), funded by the French Research National Agency (ANR), in partnership with the research group GRESI (Globalisation, Regionalization and Economic Inequality) financed by the Flanders Region, the MESHS (European Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities, Lille) and the University of Lille 1.

The objective of the conference is to gather the most recent researches upon the changes in inequality within globalized economies, with a special attention devoted to the links between inequalities, labour markets, skills and education. An additional goal is to create and facilitate links between researchers, decision-makers, and all private and public actors interested in the understanding of the main determinants and implications of social and economic inequalities. 

The conference language is English.
